RUMFORD — Patrol officers responded to 83 complaints from midnight Dec. 18 to noon on Dec. 25.

Arrests/summonses

Dec. 19 at 10:19 a.m. — Stephen Heath, 55, of Rumford was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on Congress Street on a charge of violation of sex offender registry. Heath posted $2,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in Oxford County Superior Court in Paris on Feb. 17.

Dec. 19 at 10:32 a.m. — Carl Ryerson, 29, of Rumford was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on Essex Avenue on a charge of violation of probation. Ryerson was unable to post bail and transported to the Oxford County Jail in Paris.

Dec. 19 at 1:52 p.m. — Elicia Vasquez, 23, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. James Bernard on Waldo Street on charges of theft and violation conditions of release. Vasquez was also summoned on a charge of possession of marijuana and released on personal recognizance bail.

Dec. 19 at 1:53 p.m. — Shawn Davis, 39, of Rumford was arrested by Capt. Daniel Garbarini on Waldo Street on a warrant charging failure to pay fines for operating after suspension. Davis was released on person recognizance bail with conditions.

Dec. 20 at 11:40 a.m. — Troy Lake, 42, of Mexico was arrested by Patrolman Dave Hodgson on River Street on a warrant charging failure to appear for ATV violations and violation conditions of release. Lake posted $200 cash and was released.

Dec. 21 at 9 a.m. — Johanna Fair, 39, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Maine Avenue on a charge of domestic assault. Fair posted $800 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.

Dec. 21 at 3:42 p.m. — Jason Buotte, 29, of Rumford was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Loudine Avenue on a charge of domestic assault and violation condition of release. Buotte, who was summoned on a charge of possession of a scheduled drug, was unable to post bail and transported to the Oxford County Jail. He is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.

Dec. 21 at 8:06 p.m. — Dakota Berry, 23, of Farmington was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Portland Street with attaching false plates. Berry is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 21 at 10 p.m. — Jacob Lane, 30, of Greenwood was charged by Cpl. Lawrence Winson on Hancock Street with criminal mischief. Lane is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 21 at 11 p.m. — Corey Theriault, 18, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Erchles Street with violation conditions of release, furnishing a place for minors to consume liquor and possession of drug paraphernalia. Theriault is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 21 at 11 p.m. — A 14-year-old girl from Rumford was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Erchles Street with possession of alcohol by a juvenile. She is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 21 at 11 p.m. — A 16-year-old boy from Rumford was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Erchles Street with possession of a scheduled W drug. The boy is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 21 at 11 p.m. — A 17-year-old boy from Rumford was charged by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Erchles Street with furnishing a place for minors to consume alcohol. He is scheduled to appear in court March 6.

Dec. 23 at 1 a.m. — John Freeman, 46, of Rumford was charged by Patrolman Michael Belanger on Rumford Avenue with violation conditions of release. Freeman is scheduled to appear in court Feb. 7.

Dec. 23 at 9:46 p.m. — Seth Haynes, 21, of Peru was arrested by Sgt. Tracey Higley on Hancock Street on a charge of furnishing liquor to a minor. Haynes posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court  March 6.

Dec. 24 at 12:07 a.m. — John Farrington, 21, of Andover was arrested by Patrolman Brad Gallant on Spruce Street on a charge of operating under the influence. Farrington posted $1,000 unsecured bail and is scheduled to appear in court on Mar.6.

Burglary

Dec. 24 at 2:02 p.m. — Sgt. Douglas Maifeld investigated a burglary at a Waldo Street business.

Theft

Dec. 22 at 8 p.m. — Patrolman Brad Gallant is investigating three separate thefts from a Waldo Street business.

Wanted

Matthew Smith, 26, of Rumford and Lewiston, is wanted on a Rumford  District Court warrant for failure to appear on a charge of attaching false plates. The warrants are dated Dec. 15, 2011.
