AUBURN — Central Maine Community College mixed pressure defense with up-tempo offense in a 74-65 victory over University of Maine-Augusta in mens basketball at Kirk Hall on Monday night.
Nick Hinkley led the the Mustangs with 19 points, who improved to 16-7 overall and 10-4 in the Yankee Conference,
Tyler Smithgall chipped in with 15 points while hauling down seven rebounds for the Mustangs, while Jason Hughes finished with 10 points.
Women’s basketball
UMA 64, CMCC 60
AUBURN — UMA erased a 12 point deficit with less than seven minutes remaining to hold on and down Central Maine Community College 64-60 in women’s basketball action Monday night.
Jenn Lola led the Moose with 19 points and eight rebounds. Senior center Katie Poirier followed with 16 points while grabbing 11 rebounds in the victory.
The Mustangs (8-8) were led by Danielle McCusker’s 19 points.
Karlee Bishop and Keaira Jackson both chipped in with 11 points.
