LEWISTON — The Lahey Foundation will hold its annual bowlfest Saturday at Sparetime Recreation. For the 19th straight year, event entries are sold out.
A total of 170 bowlers are signed up. Five-person teams will register at 11:30 a.m., with bowling at noon for prizes and bragging rights.
The Lahey Foundation was established to honor Thomas E. Lahey, a local athlete and businessman who died in 1987. Since its inception, the foundation has awarded more than $165,000 in scholarships to graduates of the three Twin Cities high schools.
Spectators are welcome.
