Sweetheart supper, dance

PARIS — A Sweetheart supper and dance will be held Saturday, Feb. 18, at the Legion Hall on Church Street.

The ham supper will go from 5 to 6 p.m. The dance will follow at 6:30 p.m. and will end at 9:30 p.m. Music will be proved by the Jones Band. The cost of supper only is $7 and the cost of the dance only is $5.

Inside picnic

PARIS — The Paris Public Children’s Library will host an “inside picnic” honoring past presidents George Washington and Abraham Lincoln at noon Monday, Feb. 20. Participants can bring their blankets, lunches and drinks. While dining, listen to stories and tidbits about the first and 16th presidents. Birthday cupcakes will be provided at the end. All ages welcome. Tables will be available for those needing alternative seating.

A variety of self select children’s activities will be available to do after.

eReader info

PARIS — The Paris Public Library will host another eReader and eBook Discussion Night at 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, Feb. 21. These discussion nights are for anyone who either owns an eReader and has questions, or for anyone who is interested in buying an eReader and doesn’t know where to start.

The library will have a Kindle Touch and a Nook Simple Touch on hand to try out. There will also be a handout detailing eBook sources and how to borrow eBooks from the Paris Public Library. Food pantry

OTISFIELD — The Food Pantry will be open from from 10 a.m. to noon Tuesday, Feb. 21, at Spurrs Corner Church, Route 121. The pantry is open the first and third Tuesdays of each month from 10 a.m. to noon. For more information, call 583-4780 or 627-4329.

Shakespeare, dinner

OXFORD — The Oxford Congregational Church on King Street will present The Poland Stage Troupe and The Complete Works of William Shakespeare, Abridged at 3 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 25, starring Christopher Dowling, Ted Tibbets and Bryant Cyr. The show is free, although the company does pass the hat after the show.

A medieval style dinner will be served after the performance. All proceeds will be donated to the Oxford Hills Food Pantry.
