NEW VINEYARD — A Kingfield man was listed in a critical condition Monday at a Lewiston hospital after the car he was driving hit a tree and rolled over early Sunday on Route 27.
The 2009 Toyota driven by Glen Reynolds crossed the centerline and, when the he overcorrected, hit a tree and bounced back, rolled on to its roof and landed in the road, Franklin County Sheriff Lt. Niles Yeaton said.
Reynolds was out of the car when emergency responders arrived, Yeaton said.
Reynolds complained of pain and was taken by NorthStar Emergency Medical Services ambulance to Franklin Memorial Hospital in Farmington before being transported to Central Maine Medical Center in Lewiston, a FMH spokeswoman said.
Reynolds was listed in critical condition on Monday at CMMC, a hospital spokeswoman there said.
Deputy Christopher Chase investigated the accident, which was reported at 12: 18 a.m., Yeaton said.
