STRONG – A local woman was arrested Sunday after she was accused beating up a woman, Franklin County Sheriff Lt. Niles Yeaton said Monday.
Deputy B. David Rackliffe arrested Kimberly A. Luce, 36, of Strong on a charge of felony burglary and issued a summons on charges of assault and terrorizing, Yeaton said.
Luce was released from Franklin County jail in Farmington on $1,000 cash bail on Sunday. She is scheduled to appear March 23 in Franklin County Superior Court, according to the jail’s arrest log.
Luce knocked on the door of a residence on Farmington Road and was let in by the victim at about 9 a.m. Saturday, he said. Luce accused the victim of having relations with her boyfriend and started hitting her, he said.
According to Rackliffe’s report, the victim tired to deflect the hits, Yeaton said, and received abrasions and bruises. She reported her head was repeatedly banged on the floor, he said.
Luce left the residence before police arrived.
Rackliffe said he was able to contact Luce by phone, met with her and arrested her.
