AUBURN — Donald R. Rousseau, 56, passed into eternal life on Tuesday, Feb. 14, at his home Auburn, surrounded by his loving family after a long, courageous battle with cancer.

Don was born Feb. 8, 1956, in Exeter, N.H., the son of Robert and Gabrielle Ann (Begin) Rousseau. He retired from the Army as a sergeant first class in June 1994, after 20 years in Air Defense serving in Germany, El Paso and Colorado Springs.

He enjoyed spending time with his family and his dog, Sheba. Don had a passion for fly fishing, enjoyed riding his Harley, and was known for his dry sense of humor. Don was a proud member of ProBikers For Life, riding to save the unborn.

He is survived by his wife of 32 years, Pamela Dunn (Brown) Rousseau; son, Bill and his wife, Amy Rousseau, of Lewiston; daughter, Erin and her husband, Nicholas Theriault, of Lewiston; son, Robert Rousseau of Fort Stewart, Ga.; grandchildren, Logan, Keegan, and Noah Rousseau of Lewiston; brother, Michael and his wife, Donna Rousseau, of Wells; sister, Diane Langlois of Newmarket, N.H.; many nieces and nephews; family in Texas, including “Mom” Vicky Stone, brother, Duane, and sisters, Brenda, Becky, Liz, Lynn and Roberta; and fishing buddies, Eric and Nancy Kwasniewski of Niantic, Conn.

The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the oncology office and infusion center, the M1 staff at Central Maine Medical Center, and Androscoggin Hospice House for their exceptional care.
