FARMINGTON — A blood drive is scheduled for Monday, Feb. 27, at Franklin Memorial Hospital from 1 to 6 p.m. All donors will receive a $10 Gear Bucks Card that is redeemable at participating Eastern Mountain Sports locations in Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont and online at ems.com.

Winter is upon us and so is the need for blood. Currently the blood supply is low which has resulted in a critical need for all blood types.

To make an appointment, call the American Red Cross at 1-800-RED CROSS.

Potential donors must be at least 17 years old, weigh 110 pounds or more and be in good health. There is no upper age limit and most medications and medical conditions do not prohibit someone from donating blood through the Red Cross. A positive ID is required.
