PORTLAND — Maine Gov. Paul LePage is in Washington for the National Governors Association’s winter meeting, where the focus is on job creation and economic growth.
The three-day meeting kicks off Saturday and includes sessions with President Barack Obama, members of his Cabinet, business leaders and other experts for discussions on a variety of issues affecting states.
LePage will be attending sessions on growing the economy, economic development, reducing health care costs while improving services, education, energy and the changing role of the National Guard.
LePage and his wife will join other governors and their spouses on Sunday for dinner at the White House with Obama and his wife.
