LOWELL, Mass. — Sierra-Lynn Frost stopped Semi-Vanessa Si 36 seconds into the second round to prevail in a 132-pound lightweight boxing match during the Northern New England Silver Mittens Championship at the UMass-Lowell Convention Center on Monday night.
Frost, who trains at the Gamache Boxing Club in Lewiston and is from Auburn, was about to step into the ring to compete in the second round of the two-day tournament Tuesday night, but her opponent, Tamita Diaz of Lowell, backed out of the fight.
Frost now has three wins under belt, two by TKO.
