I give a quick “well done” to Equality Maine and all its volunteers. Because of their hard work and strong belief in equality for all human beings, they are giving the same-sex marriage proposal a chance to return to the ballot.
All free-thinking, open- and fair-minded citizens will have another chance to vote in favor of a law, which should never have been overruled once it had been written and signed into law.
November 2012 may finally permit same-sex couples to exchange their wows, and thereby confirm their commitment to each other in front of family and friends.
Hopefully, equal rights will prevail.
