LEWISTON — SeniorsPlus announces its third annual ChocoLArt, a chocolate-tasting event and silent art auction to benefit SeniorsPlus Meals on Wheels and other programs, helping maintain the independence and quality of life of older adults and adults with disabilities.
ChocoLArt will be held from 2 to 4:30 p.m. Sunday, April 1, at the Hilton Garden Inn, Auburn. Tickets are $35 and are available at www.seniorsplus.org, 1-800-427-1241 or in the SeniorsPlus office at 8 Falcon Road.
At the third annual fundraising event, guests will sample a variety of chocolate-inspired creations from area restaurants and chefs while browsing the silent auction’s collection of art, pottery, crafts and jewelry. The event will be emceed by WCSH Meteorologist Keith Carson.
The afternoon will also feature the sounds of Three Point Trio, an Auburn jazz band. Complimentary hors d’oeuvres will be available.
The collection of art will include photography, prints, oil on canvas, pottery, carved wood products, hand-crafted jewelry, hand-crafted quilts and rugs and hand-knit items.
Meals on Wheels, one of the programs ChocoLArt will benefit, not only deliver meals to isolated older adults, but also provide them a safety check and visit from the driver.
