Library group annual meeting

FARMINGTON — In accordance with its by-laws, the Farmington Public Library Association will hold an annual meeting at 8 a.m. Wednesday, April 11. Each year at the meeting new trustees and officers are elected.

Community members interested in becoming corporators of the library are welcome. Anyone interested in becoming more involved in the library is also welcome.

Enrollment for pre-K and K

TURNER — RSU 52 is accepting registrations for pre-K and kindergarten students not currently enrolled. Parents should call the school in the town where the child resides: Turner Primary School, 225-3655; Leeds Central School, 524-5151; and Greene Central School, 946-5681.

For pre-K, each child must be 4 years old on or before Oct. 15. An original birth certificate, proof of residency and immunization records will be required at registration.

One session will take place all day Monday and Wednesday and one session will take place all day Tuesday and Thursday.

For kindergarten, a child must be 5 years old on or before Oct. 15. An original birth certificate, proof of residency and immunization records will be required at registration.

Students attend five full days a week.

Woodcock bird survey planned

WILTON — An American woodcock survey will take place at 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 23. Participants should meet at the Foothills Land Conservancy parking lot on Pond Road to observe the aerial breeding display of the American woodcock and learn how Maine Department of Inland Fisheries &Wildlife biologists conduct their woodcock singing bird survey. Planning for college

WILTON — The Maine Educational Opportunity Center will host a free workshop, “Essentials of College Planning,” for adults 19 and over at 10 a.m. Thursday, April 25, at the Wilton Career Center, 865 US Route 2 East.
