DEAR SUN SPOTS: Greenwood Studio Group is looking for a variety of craftsmen interested in marketing their art on the Web. This group has been organized to help Maine artists introduce their art to potential buyers using the Internet.

If you are an artist and are interested in marketing your art please call me at 782-5118 for more information. Thank you. — Anita Poulin, AP Graphics & Fine Arts, apgraph@roadrunner.com

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I read your column regularly and appreciate your research. I am seeking help from a person who has skills in restoration of hand-carved models, in particular a wooden ship approximately 30 by 43 inches made by my great-great-grandfather Robbins.

He brought a log from Chatham, England in the early 1900s, when he and his family immigrated to America, and went about carving a replica of HMS Victory, Lord Nelson’s ship from the battle of Trafalgar.

It is a beauty, but needs some careful attention before it is placed in a case currently being designed by Tom Blanchard of Winthrop. I would appreciate hearing from someone who would be interested in this offer. I can be reached at bj_fitex@yahoo.com. or 207.783.3423. Cheers, and thank you. — BJST, Lewiston

ANSWER: Your query is quite unusual, but with all the talented artisans and woodcarvers in Maine, certainly someone can help you.

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I have been very successful with my requests in the past. I appreciate every response that I have received. I am looking for macrame supplies such as beads and cord. I am very willing to pay a reasonable price for the supplies.

I would especially like a macrapole. A macrapole is spring tension pole especially made with metal arms on which to hang your macrame projects as you work on them. I will also pay a reasonable price for the macropole. Thank you very much. — Camilla, violetcar94@yahoo.com, 491-3334

DEAR SUN SPOTS: I love your column; it is very helpful. I am looking for inexpensive glass jars and vases and also large mason jars with smooth exteriors for a craft project.

I am in the Rumford area. Thanks! — dmdupuis@roadrunner.com
