LEWISTON — Roberta L. Hyman-Soucy, 50, of Lewiston, died on April 25, at CMMC, with her family by her side.

She was born May 22, 1961, in Lewiston, to parents Melvin and Bernadette Dube Hyman.

Roberta was a Rainbow Girl, and belonged to Eastern Star, Pinecone No. 26. She attended Auburn schools, graduating from Edward Little High School in 1979.
She later attended college at USM in Gorham. She was a substitute teacher in the Lewiston-Auburn area for many years.

She loved animals, especially cats. She enjoyed her lobster dinners, reading, and going to Head Beach. While living  at Russell Park, she enjoyed the activities, especially creating crafts to give away.

She is survived by her siblings, Bernadette Toppa of Connecticut, Leonard Phillips of Rhode Island, Brenda Marichal of Massachusetts; and her nieces and nephews, Lisa, Peter, Susan, Cathy and Eric.

Roberta was predeceased by her parents, Melvin and Bernadette Hyman; and a nephew, Jason Phillips.

The family would like to thank the staff at Russell Park for their support and loving care of Roberta during her stay there.
