BRIDGTON — Paul A. Walker, 81, passed away on Tuesday, May 8, at Bridgton Health Care Center.

He was born in Lovell, Nov. 8, 1930, the son of Percy and Irene Walker. He lived in the Lovell area his entire life.

He worked at Gerry’s Mill, C.N. Brown and the town of Lovell. He helped in building Evergreen Valley and ended with 20 years at Bailey’s Mill before retiring. He also mowed the Lovell cemeteries, library, churches and some private lawns. He was a very hard worker.

After retirement, he was often seen at any of the local businesses socializing, such as Wicked Good Store, Rosie’s, Bennett’s Garage and Lovell Village Garage. He never missed a Wednesday night at Dinner Bell in Fryeburg. He belonged to the Lovell Volunteer Fire Company for many years. At the Lovell Old Home Days, he was remembered for running the balloon dart game and could occasionally be seen in the dunk tank. He enjoyed attending Fryeburg Fair, going out to eat and in his younger years, going to dances.

He is survived by a daughter, Diana Davis and her husband, George, of Stow; a sister, Phyllis Chandler of Fryeburg; two grandchildren, George Davis Jr. and his wife, Denise, of Denmark and Eric Davis and his wife, Julie, of Denmark; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

He was predeceased by his wife, Claire; and his brother, William and his wife, Laura.
