GARDINER — The Celtic folk duo Castlebay, aka Julia Lane and Fred Gosbee, will present a concert of Celtic and New England traditional music on Friday, May 18, at Johnson Hall Performing Arts Center.

The duo’s concerts feature ballads sung in Lane’s ethereal soprano and Gosbee’s rich baritone interspersed with joyous dance tunes played on Celtic harp, guitar, fiddle and tin whistle.

Among their two dozen recording releases, Lane and Gosbee have written, recorded and produced two albums of original music, “Song of the Sea” and “The Ballad of Cappy John.”

The concert will be at 7:30 p.m. Johnson Hall is at 280 Water St. Tickets are $16, $6 for students under age 22.
