People’s United Community Foundation, the philanthropic arm of People’s United Bank, recently awarded a $2,500 grant to the YMCA of Auburn-Lewiston. The grant will support youth development programming, which focuses on creating a long-lasting positive impact on children and families. The programs offered at the Y include early childhood development, to ready children for kindergarten, as well as programs that help build self-esteem and self-sufficiency to assist youth in becoming future leaders.
