E/W, first, Jan Arey and Linda Leotsakos; second/third tie, Larry Fortier and Roger Labbe with Mary Trafton and Luke Merry.

Winners at Schooner Estates on June 6 were: first, Kathy Burden and Mary Trafton; second, Paul Barber and Mike True; third, Jeanine Kivus and Fred Letourneau.

Hypnosis workshop

LEWISTON — The Patrick Dempsey Center for Cancer Hope & Healing at Central Maine Medical Center is offering a free hypnosis workshop for cancer survivors and caregivers. “What Is Hypnosis, Really?” will take place Monday, June 18 from 3 to 4:30 p.m. at CMMC, 12 High St., in conference room H.

Certified hypnotherapist Amber Cox, National Guild of Hypnotists, will demonstrate various techniques of hypnosis and how it can change behaviors related to such things as weight management, phobias, stress reduction, relaxation, improving sleep and managing chronic pain.

Elks indoor yard sale

LEWISTON —  The Lewiston Elks Lodge’s second monthly indoor yard sale will take place from 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday, June 17.

Tables are available for rent at $10. For information or to participate, contact Walter Cyr at the Lewiston Elks Lodge at 344-9618.

Summer food for children

LEWISTON — The Lewiston Nutrition Program will offer a Summer Food Service Program meal at no charge to children. Breakfast and lunch will be served weekdays starting June 18 through Aug. 10 at Kennedy Park.

All meals must be eaten on the site, as participants are not allowed to remove food from the parks or playgrounds. On rainy days, the children will be served at the Multipurpose Center. No meals will be served on Wednesday, July 4.

Free meals are provided to all preschool children to 18 years of age who are attending school. For more information, contact the Lewiston Public School Nutrition Office at 795-4106.
