Stephens High Class of 1955
RUMFORD — The Stephens High School Class of 1955 will meet at 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, June 13, at Brian’s Bistro for their monthly luncheon meeting.
Historical Society meeting
DIXFIELD — The Dixfield Historical Society will hold its June meeting on Thursday, June 14, beginning at 6:30 p.m. with a business meeting, followed by guest speaker Dr. William B. Krohn, University of Maine Professor Emeritus.
Krohn is a wildlife research biologist and professor. His illustrated talk will be about one of Dixfield’s most prominent early citizens, Henry O. Stanley. The presentation will emphasize Stanley’s contributions as a conservationist, but Krohn will also discuss some of the business and family aspects of Stanley’s life. Stanley and his son George manufactured four types of fishing lures.
Refreshments will be served; the public is invited.
YWCA camp reunion
LINCOLNVILLE — Tanglewood 4H Camp will host a YWCA Camp alumni reunion from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday, June 16.
Anyone who was a camper, counselor, staff member, relative or friend at Camp Tanglewood between 1939 and 1972 is invited to participate in a day of reminiscing, sharing stories and discovery. The 4-H Camp will provide snacks and lunch, but preregistration and a $5 donation for lunch is encouraged.
Participants in the reunion are encouraged to bring photos and memorabilia which they can share.

River Riders horse shows
ANDOVER — Ellis River Riders will host a game show on Saturday, June 16, and an open show on Sunday, June 17. They are located on Airport Road, off Route 5. The shows begin at 9 a.m. and have classes for all abilities and ages to participate.
Parking and spectators are always free of charge. The Feedbag food booth is open for breakfast and lunch with a varied menu at reasonable prices.
Mexico UCC lawn sale
MEXICO — The Mexico Congregational Church, United Church of Christ, will have a lawn sale from 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Saturday, June 16. The Women’s Fellowship will also have a bake sale in the Conference Room.
Father’s Day breakfast
RUMFORD — The Rumford Lodge of Elks 862 will host a Father’s Day breakfast from 9 to 11 a.m. Sunday, June 17, in the lodge dining area. Please use side entrance to the lodge.
Menu will consist of a breakfast buffet. Members and guests are welcome. Fathers eat for free and everyone else will pay a donation of $3.

‘Speaking Up’ group meeting
RUMFORD — Speaking Up For Us meeting will take place from noon to 1:30 p.m. Thursday, June 28, at Hope Association, 85 Lincoln Ave. The subject will be friendship and the guest speaker will be Kayla Chiasson.
There will be a meet and greet, reading and discussion, dance along and a reading. Open to the public. Call 364-4561 with any questions.
