NORWAY — Timothy A. Churchill, president and chief executive officer of Western Maine Health, announces that Brian Nolan, MD, of Oxford Hills Internal Medicine, has earned the distinction of Fellow from the American College of Physicians.

The American College of Physicians  is a national organization of internists who specialize in the prevention, detection and treatment of illnesses in adults. ACP is the largest medical-specialty organization and second-largest physician group in the United States. Their mission is to enhance the quality and effectiveness of health care by fostering excellence and professionalism in the practice of medicine.

Nolan attended medical school at the University of Vermont and completed his residency training at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center. He is also certified by the American Board of Internal Medicine.

All five physicians at Oxford Hills Internal Medicine are Fellows of the American College of Physicians. OHIM is one of the few practices in the State of Maine where all physicians in the group have attained the FACP designation.
