WILTON — Voters on Tuesday elected Paul Berkey Jr. to finish a two-year term on the Board of Selectmen left vacant by the resignation of Paul Gooch.
Berkey earned 294 votes, while candidates Chris Krauss took 195 votes and Tiffany Maiuri earned 134 votes.
Incumbent Thomas Saviello ran unopposed for his fourth term on the board.
Berkey, 44, works as a custodian and bus driver for Regional School Unit 73 in Jay. He owns five properties in Wilton.
He was raised in Wilton and he’s “always in town,” he said in a recent candidate forum. He voiced a desire to give back, and to listen to and represent citizens.
