RUMFORD — A Mass of Christian Burial honoring the life of John Belanger Jr. was celebrated Friday at Parish of the Holy Savior. The Rev. Alfred Jacques was celebrant, and Bernard Poirier was the altar server.

Offertory gifts were presented by great-grandchildren, Alex and Mariah Witas. Readings were proclaimed by Barbara Doherty. Personal reflections were shared by granddaughter, Christine Murphy.

Mark Belanger was the organist, and music selections included “Hosea,” “Because the Lord is My Shepherd,” “Valleys of Green” and “Fly Like a Bird.”

Interment was at St. John Cemetery. Services were under the care and guidance of S.G. Thibault Funeral Home, Rumford.
