Kitten shower benefits shelter

NORWAY — A kitten shower will be held from noon to 4 p.m. Saturday, June 23, and Sunday, June 24, at Responsible Pet Care Feline Shelter & Adoption Center, 132 Waterford Road.

Saturday events will include TJ the DJ and a barbecue from noon to 1 p.m.

There will be a drive-through outside express donation station, weather permitting.

Attendees may visit and adopt kittens. There will be door prizes, a raffle and refreshments.

Donations needed include Purina Kitten Chow, cat toys, baby blankets, canned kitten food, bleach, paper towels, laundry soap, clay litter and money.

First U. community supper

WEST PARIS – The First Universalist Church of West Paris will hold a community supper at the church, 208 Main St., on Friday, June 29, at 6 p.m. The menu will include spaghetti with meatballs and tomato sauce (a gluten free pasta will also be available) salads, breads, desserts and beverages.

Finnish Center open house July 1

WEST PARIS — An open house will be held from 2 to 4 p.m. Sunday, July 1, at the Finnish-American Heritage Center, 8 Maple St.

The community can visit the museum or browse the library and gift shop. Coffee will be available.

The building is air conditioned and handicapped accessible.
