LEWISTON — Announcement is made of the engagement of Lauren Deanna Marie Cook and Travis Walter King, both of Lewiston.

The future bride is the daughter of Peter and Julie Cook of Auburn. She is a 2001 graduate of St. Dominic Regional High School and a 2005 graduate of the University of Maine in Farmington with a bachelor’s degree in elementary education. She is currently teaching fourth grade at Montello School in Lewiston.

The future bridegroom is the son of Craig and Mary Beth King of Bowdoin and Janet King of Davie, Fla. He is a 2001 graduate of Lewiston High School and is currently employed as an accounting clerk for TD Bank, NA.

The wedding is planned for 3 p.m. on Oct. 7 at the Grand Summit Resort Hotel at Sunday River in Newry.
