SOUTH PORTLAND — The wedding of Jessica Marie Houle and Nicholas Stephen Bridges was held at 4 p.m. on May 12 at Bug Light in South Portland. Eva Thompson, notary public, officiated at the ceremony.

Mrs. Bridges is the daughter of Rebecca Houle of Jay and Gary Houle of Sangerville, Mr. Bridges is the son of Carolyn M. Bridges of Scarborough and the late Stephen A. Bridges.

The bride was escorted by the bridegroom. She wore an ivory strapless gown with beaded waistline. She wore hand-made purple flowers she had made, with her grandmother’s veil. The flowers were lavender, white and lilac roses, which were designed by family friend, Gabrielle Maheux.

Thea Charles, friend of the bride, was matron of honor and Ryan Bridges, brother of the bridegroom, was best man. Ring bearer was Owen Charles, son of the matron of honor.

A reception followed at the home of the parents of the bridegroom in Scarborough. After a wedding trip to Canada and Niagara Falls, the couple is residing in Windham.

The bride is a graduate of the University of Maine at Orono and Mercy Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. She is employed at Stephens Memorial Hospital in Norway.

The bridegroom is a graduate of St. Joseph’s College in Standish and Mercy Hospital School of Radiologic Technology. He is employed at Mercy Hospital in Portland.
