TURNER — Corbin Hyde threw a four-hitter and smacked a home run and a double as Pastime slipped away with a 2-1 victory over Andy Valley in a Zone 3 American Legion baseball game Thursday night.

Pastime (11-2) scored the winning run in the sixth inning. Ben Wigant led off with a double and moved to third base on Matt Bowen’s single. Wigant came around with the winning run when David Cusson grounded out.

Hyde was tough on the mound, striking out seven batters and giving up one walk. Losing pitcher Josh Bunker was no pushover, either, striking out six batters.

Levi Morin had two hits for Andy Valley (2-11).
