will perform at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. The musician is known for combining catchy, oddball melodies with obscure but cohesive chord changes. This style is played out in “Venus Flying Trapeze,” Beam’s newest LP. At age 23, Beam already has a broad discography. Besides a handful of self-produced, full-length solo albums, he also fronted the The Stereo Flys based in Boston. In 2010, when “Venus Flying Trapeze” was recorded, The Stereo Flys released “Hello Greetings From A Bunker” and, subsequently, embarked on a three-week summer tour of the United States.
