I am writing in support of Colleen Quint, candidate for a seat in the Maine State Senate representing District 17.

I have had the pleasure of working with her since the spring of 2006, when I was selected as the recipient of the Mitchell Scholarship from Oak Hill High School. Quint was the executive director of the Mitchell Institute for many years, where she assisted in providing more than $8.5 million in scholarships to more than 1,900 Maine students.

Her leadership, hard work and dedication to the Mitchell Institute, specifically to its scholars, helped create a network of opportunities, including internships, mentors and careers for young professionals. Her proven effectiveness with the Mitchell Institute demonstrates that she is more than capable of having a positive impact on the people of Maine.

If elected, Colleen Quint will serve diligently and unselfishly, providing effective solutions for Maine’s present and future needs.
