When the Bluegrass Gospel Project formed in 2001, the group focused primarily on the music from which it drew its name. Over the years, and hundreds of concerts later, the band’s repertoire has morphed into an eclectic mix of  folk, pop, and bluegrass songs. The Bluegrass Gospel Project will perform at 7 p.m. Friday, Sept. 7, at St. Lawrence Arts atop Munjoy Hill in Portland. Tickets are $15 advance/$18 at the door.
