AUBURN — The Auburn Public Library, 49 Spring St., has announced teen programs taking place in September. Programs are for teens in grades 7-12 (ages 13-18). For more information, contact the library at 333-6640 or find out more about the Teen Space on Facebook.

Teens! Back to School, Back to Basics, 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5, in the Teen Space. Teens can come by the Teen Space at the Auburn Public Library to get back to basics with old-school board games and classic after-school snacks. Teens may also share with Joyce, the new teen librarian, what they want to do for the coming school year and redecorate the Teen Space.

Teen Gaming Hour, 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesdays, Sept. 12 and 26, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Teens are invited to stop by for video games and snacks. XBox and Wii are available, with games rated teen and younger. The program was made possible by a gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Teen Anime Club, 3 to 4 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 19, in the Androscoggin Community Room. Teens can drop in to talk about their favorite (or least favorite) manga, watch this week’s selection of anime and try their hand at drawing their own characters. The program was made possible by a gift of the P&G Fund of the Greater Cincinnati Foundation.

Fall Into a Good Book: Teen Writing Workshop, 3 to 4:30 p.m. Friday, Sept. 21, in the Conference Room. Part of the Auburn Public Library’s “Fall into a Good Book” celebration. Everybody has a story, what’s yours? Teens take part in writing exercises to get their creative juices flowing, plus attendees will talk about how to structure a story, create a character and add an original voice.

Takeover: MakerSpace, 3 to 4 p.m. Friday, Sept. 28, in the Teen Space. The fourth Friday of every month, teens can do a new project from duct tape art to photography, create their own video games or make their own magnetic poetry. Each month’s topic is a surprise.
