DIXFIELD — The RSU 10 board began its Monday night meeting with executive sessions totaling 90 minutes. But when they returned to public session at 8 p.m., board Chairman Jerry Wiley said no action would be taken.
The closed sessions began with a 25-minute discussion by telephone with Drummond and Woodsum lawyer, Dan Rose, at 6:35 p.m.
At 7 p.m., a student, his parents, Dirigo High School Principal Michael Poulin, a Maine Education Association representative, and Western Foothills Education Association president Jarrod Dumas joined the board and Superintendent Tom Ward. Thirty-five minutes later, the board and the superintendent met alone until 8 p.m.
During the sessions, several other teachers waited outside the meeting room.
One of the parents, Dana Whittemore, said the issue is related to science, but no other information is available.
