TURNER — “Reflections of Turner, a town along the Nezinscot and Androscoggin Rivers,” is the Turner Historical Museum’s newest publication.

The booklet contains over 300 photos and descriptions of older houses in Turner. It is divided into four sections: Northern, Central, Southern and the Old River Road. Each section includes a portion of the recently designed map by Harris Bradeen, with corresponding numbers to each house’s description.

The book is dedicated to the memory of Jean Morris, a longtime member of Museum and Historical Association. She was instrumental in the planning of the book.

“Reflections of Turner” was introduced in June with an evening presentation by David Rogers, who discussed different types of architecture in some of Turner’s houses.

Due to the popularity of the book, there will be a second printing his fall. A few remaining copies can be purchased at the museum or town office.

The museum is located on the fourth floor of the Leavitt Institute Building in Turner Center and is open Tuesday and Thursday from 12 noon to 4 p.m., and Saturday from 9:30 a.m. to noon.
