LISBON — The Stanton Bird Club of Lewiston and Auburn will host the second of seven twice-monthly bird walks from 8 to 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Sept. 19, at Beaver Park. All walks are free and open to all.

Leaders Stan and Joan DeOrsey ask participants to meet at 8 a.m. at the Promenade Mall parking lot, near Staples, 855 Lisbon St., Lewiston. The group will travel to Beaver Park to see resident birds. The leaders will identify and comment on birds seen and heard.

Each walk is approximately two miles long, on an even and dry surface. The leaders suggest that participants bring binoculars and dress in layers to be flexible for the weather. The walk will be held even if it is drizzling, but if rain is steady at 7 a.m. and is projected to continue to 10 a.m., the walk will be canceled.
