SOUTH CHINA — Zach Tannenbaum took a beautiful cross from Landon Pope and headed it into the net at the 35:19 mark of the second frame to give Edward Little a 3-2 come-from-behind victory over Erskine.
Erskine opened the scoring when Tyler Adams finished off a feed from Luke Peabody at the 35:15 mark. The Eagles doubled their lead at 15:36 when Caleb Barden one-timed a clearance off the crossbar and into the corner of the net.
The Red Eddies responded as Calvin Willette redirected a cross inot the net at 14:49. The Eddies tied the contest with a goal from Maslah Hassan who scored off a rebound on a shot by Pope.
Llewellyn Jensen made 11 saves for Edward Little, while Jared Gartley turned aside nine shots for Erskine.
GPC 2, Rangeley 0
PORTLAND — Byeong Woo Jung and Teddy Lane each tallied second-half goals in the rain Tuesday as Greater Portland Christian hustled to a 2-0 victory over Rangeley in boys’ soccer action.
Gunnar Johnson handled netkeeping duties for the Lakers, turning aside 17 shots in the contest.
Cony 2, Oxford Hills 1
AUGUSTA — Ean Roulliard netted his second unassisted goal with 13:51 left in regulation to give Cony a 2-1 win over Oxford Hills in a boys’ soccer tilt Tuesday.
Roulliard led the Rams (3-4) to victory with a dominant effort. Dakota Durgin scored the first goal of his high school career for the Vikings (1-6) in a solid outing. Brandon Elwell made an astounding 25 saves for Cony, while Jake Beauchesne turned aside 12 shots between the posts for Oxford Hills.
Camden Hills 3, Leavitt 0
TURNER — Peter Vannorsdall punched in the second goal of the game on a direct kick as Camden Hills silenced Leavitt, 3-0, in a boys’ soccer game Tuesday.
Camden Hills goalie Marshall Spear was vigilant in net, making two point-blank saves to frustrate the Hornets (1-6) in the second half. Eric Blohm and Benjamin Welt each scored goals for Camden Hills.
Mt. Abram 4, Mountain Valley 0
SALEM — Trevor Brackley registered a hat trick to lead Mt. Abram to a 4-0 romp over Mountain Valley in an MVC boys soccer tilt Tuesday.
Jay Chenard also tallied for the Roadrunners (4-4) in the second frame to complete the scoring. Dakota Jacques made 12 saves to preserve the shutout, while Tristan Dyer and Greg Seekman combined to deflect eight shots for the Falcons (1-5-1).
