FARMINGTON/RUMFORD —  Women, Work and Community will offer three, two-hour workshops in early October. All workshops are free of charge.

Budgeting Basics will be offered from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 2 at the Rumford/Mexico Region 9 Adult Education. This workshop is about the basic components for building a budget. Leaders will discuss money tracking, goal setting, challenges, ways to reduce expenses and understanding your overall financial situation.

Clean Up Your Credit will be offered from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 9, also at the Rumford/Mexico Region 9 Adult Education. This workshop aims to help people have a better understanding of credit. Leaders will discuss basic concepts of credit, strategies for reducing debt, credit reports and credit scores.

Your Money Personality will be held from 6-8 p.m. Oct. 16 at the WWC office in Farmington at 108 Perham St., Suite A. In this workshop, leaders will use a fun and unique “Money Habitude” card game developed by Sybil Solomon to learn how people’s habits and attitudes toward money affect their decisions and actions related to money.
