LISBON — In honor of national “Make a Difference Day,” held every year on the fourth Saturday in October, there will be a coat, mitten and boot drive organized by Lisbon Deputy Welfare Director Judy Hardy-Goddard now through Oct. 26.
The drive will honor the Patenaude Family Foundation, established in memory of sisters Penny and Kerri Patenaude, who lost their lives to cancer, leaving small children behind.
Gently used coats, mittens and boots will be collected at the town hall weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Local residents can pick them up from noon to 5 p.m. Oct. 27 at the MTM center gym. Monetary donations also are welcome and will be used to buy new coats.
Nonperishable food donations can be dropped off on Oct. 27 at the MTM center, for the annual Thanksgiving Basket collection.
For more information, contact Town Clerk Twila Lycette at 353-3000 extension 109.
