AUBURN — Jodie Lynn Sampson, who has self-published a book, “Wishing On an Irish Star,” will have a signing Thursday, Nov. 8, during the Diva Mall at Lost Valley.

Sampson brings her 1980s fantasy of being swept away by a long-haired rock ‘n’ roll guitarist to life in her book. The central character, Alyssa, is a beautiful single mom, dedicated to her 3-year-old daughter and leading a very structured, routine life.

She works as a nurse at the Reading Hospital and Medical Center, and enjoys the music of the UK Influence, a popular British Rock rock ‘n’ roll band.

Alyssa dreams one night of meeting her dream man, Kian Quinn, the band’s tall, long-haired, Irish guitar player. In her dream, Quinn is in an accident and she cares for him as his nurse. When she gets to work the next morning, her dream has become  reality and he is her patient. Was Quinn’s accident pure fate? Was he really Prince Charming in disguise? Will they fall in love and live a happy life, proving dreams can come true “if you wish on an Irish star?”

“Wishing On An Irish Star” is available on Amazon and through Kindle.

The Diva Mall will run from 5:30 to 8 p.m. For more information, call 784-1561 or visit www.lostvalleyski.com.
