I write in support of the re-election of Judge Joshua Klein-Golden as judge of probate. I have practiced law with the judge for seven years. He is a skilled advocate and a caring man.
I have spent a lifetime surrounded by the lawyers and judges of my family and this state, and more than 36 years as an active trial lawyer in the courts of this state. I can say from personal experience that there are many knowledgeable and skilled lawyers here in Maine. There are far fewer who have what is called judicial demeanor — the ability to set people at ease yet fairly control a courtroom.
There are very, very few attorneys, however, who have both. Judge Klein-Golden is one, as he has amply demonstrated during his time on the probate bench.
I will support him on Nov. 6.
