Arborea, aka husband and wife, Buck and Shanti Curran, will perform Friday, Nov. 9, at She Doesn’t Like Guthries in Lewiston. Shanti Curran provides lead vocals as well as banjo, Clemmer Ban-Jammer, harmonium, ukulele, sawing fiddle and hammered dulcimer. Buck provides vocals and plays guitar, slide guitar and sawing fiddle. They both share songwriting and arrangement duties, deriving inspiration from Maine’s rugged, scenic land and seascapes. They sometimes record music in an old family cabin built by Shanti’s great-grandfather in the Western Mountains region of Maine during the Depression. Guest Herbcraft will begin the evening at 7:30 p.m. No cover charge.
