BETHEL — “In the Blood,” a multimedia documentary by Sumner McKane detailing the lives and character of Maine’s hardy lumbermen and river drivers, will be shown on Friday, Nov. 16, at Telstar Auditorium.

The film takes viewers into the rugged world of these pioneers who symbolize Maine’s gritty and resilient reputation — the camps, haul roads, landings and yards, rivers and lakes.

For “In the Blood,” McKane compiled archival film and still photographs of the logging industry from the turn of the 20th century. A singer-songwriter of folk rock and Americana music, he also created the score for the film, which he’ll perform with band mate Joshua Robbins.

“In the Blood” will be shown at 7 p.m. at the auditorium, 284 Walkers Mills Road. Tickets are $7/$5 for seniors 65+ and children under 12.
