LIVERMORE FALLS – Two older parlor wood stoves were stolen from a locked storage building on Jug Hill, off Campground Road, over the weekend, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Tuesday.
A padlock on the door was broken to gain entrance into the building, he said.
The theft was reported Sunday and occurred within the past two days, he said. The stoves have an estimated value of $100 each. The lock was valued at $20, he said.
In another incident, two of three men at a Knapp Street house got into a fight early Saturday. One of the men was knocked unconscious, Steward said. The fight was reported at 1:45 a.m.
The man was still unconscious when an ambulance from NorthStar Emergency Medical Services arrived, he said. The man woke up and declined treatment. He also declined to press charges, Steward said.
