AUBURN — Announcement is made of the engagement of Emily Morris of Auburn and Bret Joseph Butterfield of Newcastle.

Miss Morris is the daughter of Walter A. Morris and Mary B. Morris of Jefferson. She is a 2008 graduate of Lincoln Academy and a 2010 graduate of Central Maine Community College. She is currently attending the University of Southern Maine and is a resident director at Central Maine Community College.

Mr. Butterfield is the son of Randy and Becca Butterfield of Newcastle. He is a 2010 graduate of Lincoln Academy and is attending Southern Maine Community College. He is a corrections officer and firefighter.

The wedding will be held on June 8 in Old Orchard Beach.
