Coach: Ric Swett (second year, ninth overall)
Last year’s record: 1-20 in dual meets
Returning athletes: Senior — Donnie Vannah (160); Junior — Sadiee Austin (170).
Key losses: None.
Promising newcomers: Sophomore — Frank Smith (106); Freshmen — Zach Cloutier (113), Andrey Klokov (120/126), Carter LaBrecque (113/120), Brendon Tervo (145), Sam Woodard (138/145).
Outlook: The Raiders endured a tough season in 2011-12 with only three wrestlers and no state qualifiers. With Swett now in his second year since returning to the program, word-of-mouth is beginning to pay off. Oak Hill is a young, growing and decidedly co-ed team. Vannah has the ability to place in the state meet. LaBrecque was a middle school conference champion, and Swett expects him to contend immediately for a state medal. Oak Hill moves from the KVAC to the Mid-State League this season.
Coach’s comment: “This will be another rebuilding year at Oak Hill. Maintaining the numbers and developing the incoming freshman class will be a top priority.” — Coach Ric Swett
