CASTINE — Andy Ball scored five of his game-high 24 points in overtime to help lift Maine Maritime Academy to a 66-58 win over Maine-Presque Isle Saturday.
Ball added 10 rebounds with his 24 points while Tyler Chiasson also picked up a double-double for MMA (3-5) with 10 points and 12 boards.Claude Louis paced the Owls (5-4) with 23 points and nine rebounds.

GORHAM — Senior guard Lee Vazquez nailed a buzzer-beating three-pointer from well beyond the arc to leadWestfield State Owls to an 80-79 win over the University of Southern Maine.
Vazquez scored a team-high 22 points for the Owls (9-1) in double-figures. Ryan White added 18 poitns and 14 rebounds. Alex Key led USM with 29 points. Conor Sullivan added 17 points for the Huskies (6-3).

FRAMINGHAM, Mass. — Sophomore Nicole Bostic sank a layup with 12.1 seconds remaining and senior Kia Minor nailed a pair of free throws with 0.7 on the clock as Framingham State held on for a 64-60 victory over St. Joseph’s in non-conference women’s basketball action.
Minor led all scorers with a game-high 23 points on 8-of-12 shooting from the field to go along with nine rebounds, three assists and three steals.
Bostic chipped in 10 points and five assists for the Rams (6-3).
Lindsay Moore led a trio of Monks (5-3) in double figures with a team-best 17 points to go along with eight rebounds. Danyelle Shufelt finished with 15 points, five rebounds, five assists and five steals, while Morgan Cahill registered 10 points and 10 rebounds.
