LEWISTON — Two drivers involved in a head-on crash escaped injury Tuesday evening when their cars collided on Cedar Street at around 6:30 p.m.
According to Lt. David St. Pierre of the Lewiston Police Department, a 2005 Hyundai Sonata, driven by Cory Maillet, 23, of Turner, was traveling on Cedar Street toward Auburn.
At that time, a 2011 Jeep Patriot driven by Norman St. Hillaire, 27, of Auburn, was attempting to make a left turn onto Lincoln Street from the opposing side of Cedar Street when the impact occurred.
St. Hillaire was able to continue to drive after the impact, parking his Jeep near the intersection. Maillet’s Hyundai remained in the intersection.
According to Lt. St. Pierre, there appeared to be no injuries and although the vehicles needed to be towed, neither driver was transported to the hospital.
