PORTLAND — Michael J. Nauyokas, 62, of Lewiston, passed away peacefully Jan. 10, at Mercy Hospital.

He was born in Lewiston, June 16, 1950, the son of Godfrey Nauyokas and Muriel (Dumont) Blouin. He attended Lewiston schools. After a 20 year career in beverage sales, Michael went to work for L.L. Bean before he retired.

Never one to be a home body, Michael preferred to spend his time outside as he loved nature. He camped nearly every summer and spent winters snowmobiling. He was blessed with the gift of culinary arts and his true home was in the kitchen. Even into his early 60s, Michael was always

a sharp dressed gentleman and frugal shopper who could find a good deal on anything anywhere.

It filled his heart to help others, whether it be a friend or a stranger. Above all Michael was a family man and will be sorely missed by his family and friends. Michael will continue to live forever in their hearts as he looks down smiling from Heaven.

He leaves two children, Katie Nauyokas and John Nauyokas; one brother, Gary Nauyokas; his mother, Murial (Dumont) Blouin; and his grandson, Evan Nauyokas.
