The Maine Renegades Peewee II hockey team won one game and tied the other on Saturday, Jan. 12.

The first game was a 3-3 tie against Tri-Valley. The Renegades raced out to a quick lead after Jack St. Pierre scored at the 10:32 mark with the assist coming from Parker Simoneau.

Period one closed with a goal from Hunter Steele and the assists from Kurt Heywood and Colby Plante. And with less than 23 seconds left in the second period Cam Audette scored for the Ren’s with an assist from Kurt Heywood and Logan Nickerson. Tri-Valley rallied in the third period to end the game in a tie.

In the second game, the Renegades exacted revenge on a very strong Westford team and came away with a well-played 2-1 win.  Tyler Marcoux posted the first goal for the Rens at the 8:45 mark, with the assist credited to Hunter Hughes on a nifty pass from the left circle. With only 21 seconds left,  Junior Mathon blistered a wrist shot  for the game winning goal. Assisting on the final goal were Logan Nickerson and Tyler Marcoux.
