LIVERMORE FALLS – Police charged a 17-year-old boy Wednesday with having oxycodone pills at Spruce Mountain High School, police Chief Ernest Steward Jr. said Thursday.
Officer Steve Wilkinson charged the Livermore Falls boy with unlawful possession of oxycodone, a painkiller, he said. The boy had the drugs inside the school, he said, so the charge was elevated to a felony.
School officials called police to report the boy had four prescription pills. Wilkinson met with a school administrator and the boy before charging him. He was released to the custody of his parents, Steward said.
The case will be turned over to a juvenile case officer.
