Farm to observe Maple Sunday

POLAND — Maine Maple Sunday will be celebrated on Sunday, March 24, at Megquier Hill Farm, 260 Megquier Hill Road. The farm is the home of Peter and Kathie Bolduc and their four children.

Nestled in the lower back field of the 1791 farmstead is the maple sugar house. The celebration will be held from 9 a.m. to 3 p.m. Visitors will have a hay wagon ride to the sugarhouse for a pancake breakfast for a fee. A narrated tour of the sugar house will be offered.

The local Grassholes Band will be playing classic bluegrass music and songs. Maple flavored items will be for sale and horse-drawn sleigh rides (wagon rides if there is not enough snow) will be offered free to visitors along with helium balloons for the kids.
